Oatmeal Porridge


2/3 cups old fashion oatmeal

2 cups of water

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

2 tablespoons sugar

1/4-1/2 cup condense milk

2 drops vanilla essence- optional

Garnish; walnuts and prunes or any garnish you like


In a medium size pot, pour in the water, cinnamon, nutmeg, sugar and vanilla essence. Cover the pot and bring water to a boil.

Add oatmeal to boiling water and stir constantly to prevent lumps from forming.

Reduce heat and allow the oatmeal to cook for about 15 minutes or until it has a nice thick consistency and the oatmeal is cooked to your desire.

Pour porridge into a bowl and pour the creamy condense milk on top of the porridge and stir. Add more milk or less as you desire.

Garnish with chopped walnuts, prunes, sunflower seeds or any garnish you like.
